Old Timer in the Rockies - Rio Grande No. 346 by Howard Fogg

$25.00

Howard Fogg is well known for his stunning train inspired art. This print features the Museum's primary operating engine, D&RGW Steam Locomotive No. 346! Originally printed in 1977 we have located a stock of these lovely art prints and are happy to offer them to our customers once again.

Twisting and winding downward through the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, a juanty three-footer echoes the glorious days of early mountain steam. Rio Grande No. 346 is shown running on the Rio Grande Southern Railroad's 3% grade from Lizard Head Pass along Trout Lake. Built in 1881, this incredible old-time engine still sees regular service on the half-mile narrow gauge track at the Colorado Railroad Museum.
